What could be worse than getting put in an arranged marriage? How about being put in an arranged marriage with your worst enemy. The Matthews and Hunters have always been best friends, until Maya and Josh came along. They can't stand to be in the same room with each other without starting a fight and neither of them are willing to put in an effort towards each other. Everyone can see that Josh and Maya are perfect for each other, except for Josh and Maya. The Hunters go bankrupt and the only way they are able to put money back in the bank is if they were to merge their business with the Matthews and make a deal with them. Much to Josh and Maya's dismay. Now Josh and Maya are faced with having to be married to each other and taking over their parents business. And oh yeah, the Matthews want grandchildren.

Maya Hunter: Maya's life was perfect. She had a family that loved her, a boyfriend who adored her (at least when he wasn't adoring other girls), and amazing friends. There's only one problem. She's failing algebra and the only person who may help her pass is also the person she promised herself she'd never let back in. Joshua Matthews: Josh's life was less than perfect. He lost his parents and he now lives in Greenwich Village with his brother and his family, he jumps from girl to girl, getting drunk most nights, and his only friends are people that would drop him in a second for a better offer. But when the girl he let get away starts failing algebra, a class he's actually good at, he decides to help her and maybe find his way back into her heart.
