Three West Point cadets vanish through a dimension breach during a routine run and reappear in a world that should not exist.
Alex Weiss, Tristan Lee, and Nick Parker are stranded in a nation that looks disturbingly familiar: cities that look like they belong in another century, armies equipped with last-generation weapons, and a society bracing for war with an aggressive neighbor. The language is almost understandable. The people are almost like home. And there is no way back.
With no path to return, the cadets do the only thing that makes sense: they adapt.
What begins as survival becomes integration. Integration becomes enlistment. And enlistment becomes something harder to justify.
Their new home has a beloved leader, Dorian Falcon, who is determined to protect his people and the country he loves. But he hides a catastrophic weapon, capable of destroying not only the aggressor state next door, but everything he loves as well.
Their commanders are competent, disciplined, and preparing for a conflict they believe cannot be avoided. In direct opposition to Falcon, they know the weapon exists, and they're ready to throw restraint out the window.
As the inevitable approaches, the three cadets train for war. And when it comes, and they are given responsibility, they will have to decide...follow the rules...or fight to win.
