He has settled into a new life being a history professor at a high school. Meanwhile, Arthur rises from Avalon lost and confused in the modern world. Finding that no one is left he screams in agony. They do not go unheard and Merlin comforts him. Merlin gets him acquainted with the ways of the modern world. It is an emotional, charming, funny transition. Merlin lays his life on the line to save Arthur yet again, only this time there are witnesses, lots of them.
