Alastor and Lucifer try to get along once the hotel is rebuilt, but things happen that make things ever more difficult. What will Lucifer do with the things that he learns about the demon? Then a new guest comes and rumors start to spread. Whatever shall the demon do in order to keep up appearances?

Alastor is at the height of his career as a horror romance writer, however he simply cannot get himself to write one more word. Just as he is losing hope, a strange character with endless secrets and riches invites himself into his life, and offers him mountains of possibilities just so that they can get to know one another. This person obviously loves his work, but he can't help but wonder how he had found him, as he did use a fake name on the cover of all of his books. So as one secret is exposed, the other, of the heinous murders that he took part in; are quickly hidden away. He can't help but wonder for how long.
