First Link x Reader story~! Link gets to see (Y/n) after a very,VERY long time, and,well, I won't spoil it for you ;)

The Legend of Zelda returns like you've never seen it before to follow Link on his journey to Hyrule as he races to save Zelda from certain death. But this time, the future of The Legend of Zelda may be in jeopardy. With Zelda's soul seperated from her body, Ganondorf's own soul now resides inside it, laying waste to Hyrule and it's people. The soul of Zelda fears that when Ganondorf is finished with the body he inhabits, he will destroy it, and with it, the soul of Zelda. Will Link get to Hyrule in time? Or will the Legend of Zelda be lost forever? **This works is based on the Legend of Zelda video games. The characters Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf are reseved to The Legend of Zelda game makers. The story line is my original idea and is reserved to me.**

As Link and Midna embark on another adventure, Hyrule is faced with two opposite fates: One would bring complete demolition to all of Hyrule. And the other would save Hyrule and lead it to prosper. The fate of Hyrule lies within the life of one girl: the Vessel of the Goddesses. She must collect the hearts and properties of Nayru's Wisdom, Farore's Courage, and Din's Power before reviving them. However, along with the assistance of newly earned friends, Link and Midna, they face severe opponents who are determined to resurrect the horrific Demon King: Demise. Follow the dynamic trio throughout the unknown land of Hyrule as friendships develop, personalities grow, and innocent love blossoms between two specific heroes. (Nova, Halo, some of the destinations, and the story-line belongs to me. Everything else belongs to the rightful owner of the Legend of Zelda series. I do not own the cover picture either.)

Hyrule burns. The Great Lord of Darkness, Ganondorf the Usurper, has invaded and conquered. Hyrule's armies are scattered and her peoples are subjugated. The war has been lost. The Dark One himself has taken the royal seat, and now rules the land with cruel malice. A ragtag resistance, calling itself the Liberation, has doggedly fought for months against the overwhelming force that evil has brought to bear against them, but the fight goes poorly. One by one, their strongholds and hideouts are being found and crushed. Many have died, and the Liberation is near the breaking point. They will not be able to muster the strength to resist for much longer, and to make matters even worse, their great leader and general, Princess Zelda, has vanished. All is lost - or so it seems. But there is one elf... one lone figure who will no longer stand idly by as the land he loves is beaten into submission, as the blood of his kinsfolk stains the cobblestones of Castle Town, as endless night threatens to envelop all that is good and pure in the world. He will not stand for it. He is ready to oppose the Usurper. He now moves, unseen, through the streets of the coastal trade city, Termina. A public execution has been decreed to take place there on this day, an execution that he has sworn to prevent. It is here that this solitary hero will make his move; it is here that Ganondorf will realize that his hold on Hyrule is not yet complete. The time is at hand. The hero prepares. His name is Link.

As the dark forces push closer, Link and Zelda must fight to protect the things they love, especially each other. Link fights what may become his worst nightmare-himself. Zelda must decide, would she give up everything she knows and loves to be with him, even if it comes with a terrible price? This shouldn't be happening. How can they face this? Can they be free to love each other? Or must their fight be Everlasting?

Some Zelda theories that I either come up with, others come up with, all that jazz. It's all discussed. Yes, there are spoilers, so I wouldn't suggest it if you haven't played any of the games.
