In the debate world, there are five unspoken rules. The first four are trivial; simple social laws that every sane person would understand. But the last one. Now that's something. It's not mandatory, but who doesn't want someone next to them, sharing the work burdens and the joy of winning? It's like having that other half you've always wanted. Not Jisung. As the best debater on his school's small team, he's never found the desire to; after all, nobody has ever matched his level of strength and been able to keep up with him. That is, until an old star steps into the limelight of his life, ready to reclaim a lost title. (yes, it sounds nerdy. no, it is not, and yes, there is much romance ;3)

Jisung was quiet and reserved. Comfortable in his life as an elementary school teacher. But one of the downsides of his job was the pay- it wasn't enough. In order to keep the house he worked hard for, he's forced to search for a roommate. Enter Minho, a kind uncle by day and an underground boxer by night. And a man looking for a place to live. They find a way to be the perfect roommates, and with their differing schedules, it's easy to live around each other. But eventually their mutual interest grows. The only time life isn't pulling them in opposite directions is between the time Jisung returns home and when Minho leaves-- just before sunset. Before long, sunset becomes Jisung's favorite time of day.

A harsh world survived by only those who are strong and ruthless. A world where humans are seen as nothing more than merchandise. Jisung, a human, falls to this world. Minho, a mystery, thrives in this world. How do their paths cross? What can they possibly learn through each other? They find use in each other. One for a journey, another for freedom. But that need for each other may soon turn into something more. The heart is impossible to fight against.

What happens when Jisung, a simple flower shop owner, decides to help an injured man that stumbles into his shop in the middle of the night? What happens when that man starts appearing everywhere in Jisung's life? What happens when sparks fly and love begins to blossom? "Tell me, little flower, why aren't you afraid of me?" Jisung's eyebrow popped up. "What is this, a vampire movie?"

Westfair is the fictional city this story takes place in. It's small but cozy, rainy, but fun. Jisung loves his life of working in the old library, joking with Beth, the woman that was basically his grandma, and going home to sleep in his tiny apartment. But soon his mundane life gains some color as he meets the handsome Minho, a student from Korea attending the nearby university. After meeting in some unique circumstances, Jisung and Minho hit it off, and their soft, genuine romance begins to bloom within the walls of an antique library. Underneath it all, a mystery surrounds Jisung, and he finds out some odd things about himself, and Minho. Things that are only true in books and movies. "You're an omega." Jisung wasn't usually one to swear, but... "What the fuck is that?" *Omegaverse au* It's a lowkey omegaverse, so it won't be in your face a ton lol. Every omegaverse is different. Everything will be explained as chapters go. Just read if you want to know it all lol.

Through Minho, he learns more about his blurry, unclear past, about who he is, and what love can mean in such a dark world. All while something bigger, something more sinister, lurks in the shadows around them. *This is for fun but I'm also SUPER proud of this story (it's like my best written one lol) * This is a fanfiction related to the K-pop group, Stray Kids, but it doesn't read like one.
