"I want you." With a touch as light as a feather, Cillian hooked a thick finger under her chin to get a better look at her face. "Look at me." Slowly, her eyes cracked open, but she didn't dare meet his eyes. His grip tightened ever so slightly, a warning. Her breath caught in her throat when she looked at him- I mean, really looked at him. His golden eyes were as direct, not even blinking as much as the average person. They glistened in the moonlight that peeked through the blinds, bringing an inhuman shine to them. A satisfied smile stretched across his lips until his prominent canines made an appearance. A finger tugged on the collar of her shirt and dragged it down- just enough to reveal the mark that was imprinted forever on her delicate neck. "Do remember what this means?" It was this speech, this deep, heavy voice of his that immediately set him apart from everyone else. No longer able to hold his gaze, her eyes fell and she shook her head. His hand caught somewhere behind her neck and base of her jaw to tilt her head back so her eyes met his. "I think you do." He persisted. His other hand came up to lightly brush the hair back away from her face. "What are we, hmm?" His fingers trailed down the curves of her body until they settled on her hips to gently tug her closer, pulling a sharp inhale from her. With their bodies pressed together, hearts racing in sync, and butterflies fluttering in both of their stomachs, she peeked up at him once more. A shudder shot down her spine as he leaned in to nuzzle her neck, his hot breath fanning against the mark. "C'mon, say it." He breathily taunted. With a shaky breath, she whispered, "we're mates." - ranks - #1 new story #1 wolf # 2 alpha

"I've been taught that girls have no value, and he's the only one who assures me that I do." Soleil is a girl. A young woman. A female. She couldn't hate it more, because in her society that cursed gender makes her expendable. The war that was wrought on Earth years ago destroyed society, and men almost went extinct. Repopulation is the propriety, even if it means marrying a man with 8 other wives to become a baby making machine. When she meets an enormous alien man through a window, she slowly comes to realize that she is meant for more. She sneaks away every night after that to meet him, finding herself falling for all 7 feet of him.... even if she can't understand a thing that he says. Fray has come from Rytaria to collect human females, the salvation of his race. As soon as he meets his precious Soleil, he knows he has to have her. Little does she know that Fray will do whatever it takes to make her his mate, and he will worship the very ground she walks on.

He calls himself the Prince. He is humanoid but not human--fascinating, sensual, at the cusp of maturity, and accustomed to getting what he wants. And Lydia has awoken in his world to find that she has been given to him--as a pet, a plaything, and, if he so desires, a lover. As Lydia comes to realize that the Prince is as much a prisoner to his culture's ways as she is, her resentment slowly unfurls into pity, understanding, curiosity, and a deep, unpredictable, consuming lust. She wants him too, on her own terms. But in a world fraught with hidden dangers, her terms are not open for discussion, not when their thirst for one another could doom them both. In a court where monarchs are obeyed and sexual hierarchies are strict, one wrong move could end the Prince for ever... and what would happen to Lydia then? * This novel was originally published by Circlet Press in 2015 under the pseudonym Peggy Barnett. Lyra is one of four humans who awakens in a dazzling but dangerous world, lightyears from home. The stars are unfamiliar. The skies burn with twin moons. And Earth, as they knew it, is gone-erased by a cataclysm they can't explain. Somehow, the four of them have appeared where they shouldn't-even in theory. Declared anomalies by the Tharions, an advanced and war-forged alien race, the humans are placed under guarded observation. Assigned to watch over them is Kael Vel'Sar: heir to the throne, commander of the Royal Forces of Tharion Accord, and a figure whispered about more for his battlefield legend than his compassion. As Lyra begins to adjust to the new reality, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to Kael, whose loyalty to his people runs as deep as the scars of war across his skin. Kael is bound by tradition, honor, and blood. His duty is to protect his world, investigate the time-tossed humans, and report to the Council . But Lyra is unlike anyone he's ever met- curious, fearless and irresistibly human. Their chemistry ignites the moment they meet... a heat neither of them dares touch. Kael is forbidden to bond with an outsider. But Lyra is already a disruption to Tharion order. And because one kiss could shatter an empire. In a world where love between species is not just taboo but treason, Lyra and Kael must choose between their hearts and the fragile alliance that is all that stands between peace and extinction.
