Eighteen year old Harley Willem has spent his entire life in the middle of no where. His father and Harley live on a remote farm for one reason to stay safe from the Man Eaters. They are the monsters that rule the cities thirty-foot giants with yellow eyes and a taste for human flesh. Bored and stifled by the summer heat, Harley wanders into the woods and comes face to face with his father's worst nightmare. But Ash isn't like the stories. Though he stands twenty feet tall, he is starving, wounded, and terrified. He was abandoned by his pack for the one sin a Man Eater can't commit: he refuses to kill. As a dangerous bond forms between the lonely boy and the gentle giant, Harley finds himself stealing food, lying to his father, and falling for a creature that could crush him with one hand. But with his father growing suspicious and a rifle in the hall closet, Harley is walking a razor's edge. In a world where they are natural enemies, survival might be easy, but trust could get them both killed.

Everyone has murderous intents in them to some extent, right? With most giants having been past their cravings of devouring humans, some don't. But in reality, they haven't been past it, they just ignore it as best as they could, special pills help with overcoming that ravenous hunger clawing at their insides. But some have more murderous intents to them than others. Some thoughts they can't really control, and may even act upon on.
