"Like I said Zach. I'm strong." I answer, giving him a smirk. I had almost forgotten about last night...almost. Zach gives me a faint smile. "The strongest person I know." I smile back at him. He looks from my eyes to my lips. He's gonna kiss me. I can't believe it. He's gonna kiss me. Why hasn't he kissed me yet. I'm waiting. Waiting. Still waiting. DAMN IT ZACH KISS ME. "I can't Mia." Zach says, practically answering my mind. Can't? Why not? He gets up off of me. I am so confused. Zach glides his hand through his hair. A sign to show he's frustrated. I bite my lip. "I just...can't Mia." Then he's out the door. I run after him, but I guess he knew I was. He was out of the front door before I got to the bottom of the stairs. Imagine that you are in love. You're in love with someone who is funny, who enjoys your company, who is sexy, who is as mad as you, who is also your best friend. Now this is my life. Average old Mia Eden. Forever getting friend zoned. Forever being the one picking up the pieces when your best friend breaks down. Never being the one he chooses.

Alex Valentine. 22. Model. She had a life of glitz and glam, unlimited riches, gourmet food and hot toy boys whenever and wherever. She was loved, hated, envied and admired. She lived the ideal life. Rose English. 21. Photographer. She came from an honest, working class family which was crumbling around her. And fast. Loved by all who knew her, pitied by those that didn't, Rose lived a pretty tough life, not that she'd ever admit it. When Rose was hired as a photographer for "Valentine," a hot-shot fashion magazine owned by one of the most successful men in New York, she was surprised to find out that she would be snapping pics of his daughter Alex, one of the most well known models worldwide. This is the story of how two people born into such contrasting worlds grew closer under unlikely circumstances, and how this blooming relationship changed both their lives forever. But with dark secrets, shady characters and naive families, how will the story end? Will Cinderella get her happily ever after? Fingers crossed.

A/N: This is an unedited, significantly different version of the soon to be published novel by losangelesque aka L. Akhter. This draft was written when I was 15-18 years old and I highly encourage new readers to read the published version instead. Former high school football star Frank Novak meets profound and depressed loner Lolita Abri - and falls headfirst into love. Throughout the course of one school year, they unravel each other and their sadness, setting apart their differences and realizing that sometimes love isn't enough - and sometimes it just might be. "I love you, Ashton" I whispered to his sleeping face, being careful so he doesn't hear. Quickly kissing him on the cheek, I run away knowing that he can't know, and he will never know. I'm in love with my bestfriend. "Diana?" Ashton's voice stops me. Tears threaten to fall down, but I push them away. "Yes?" "Could you please call Mel?" He replies. I nod and walk away.

Mia Hastings was never one to follow the rules. Her brother knew it, her best friend knew it. Everyone knew it. She lives for the moment, doing whatever she feels and thinking of the consequences later. Her main goal in life is to live it. Mia’s brother’s best friend Drake O’Connell was never big on rules. The judge who sentences him to 2 years in prison knew it. He is known for being the badboy, partying and womanising. His charm, good looks and obnoxious behaviour made his life pretty easy and his main goal in it was to have fun. He had lost 2 years of his life locked up, so he was determined to make up for lost time. So when these two people are thrown together, both without a care in the world, issues of their own and more secrets than an episode of Pretty Little Liars, you can expect a story full of laughs, tears, arguments and felonies. They might be breaking the law, but both Mia and Drake are about to find out that when it feels wrong, it is ALWAYS more fun. ©makeandoffer

One big mistake. My mistake was answering the door. My mistake was letting him step inside. My mistake was allowing him to catch me. My mistake was not screaming. My mistake was leaving. My mistake was falling in love with him. But maybe my mistake all along was…living.
