When her brother and her were five, her grandfather decided that he didn't need the weaker twin and order her brother to fight her to the death, and he won, or so they thought. Her mother put her in the lazarus pit when everyone was asleep then took her to Amity Park to Matthew Fenton, her old friend, to raise her as his own and he did.
