Querencia (n.) 1. A place where one feels safe, at home. 2. (Spanish:) to want, to desire, and to love. Charlie has to learn so many things anew. A faithful night in Vienna teaches him gratitude. Sadly, it also teaches him trust, trust for a boy. He should know better. In a span of twenty-four hours, after all, all of Charlie's senses become him, the stranger he met on the train. He sees him, sees the outlines of his face and body in the moonlight. He feels him, feels the heat of his presence. He hears him, hears him breathe as his breath shallows and evens. He believes he can taste that breath. And he smells him. The most powerful sense, the scent. It is entirely encompassed by this tantalising boy and it shapes a memory in his head, the memory of this stranger being there where he was most alone, of him giving Charlie a piece of his mind, a chance at new beginnings, of the stranger giving him a presence beside him. He should know better. He's in love. He can't know better. ___________________________ -ACHIEVEMENTS- 1. Won 2nd place in 'The Baker's Choice Awards 2024' (Romance) 2. Some things are better left forgotten. Eris Neve is an employee at Yakuba Technologies, a powerful company that has been prepping for the end of Earth since it was founded. Her and 799 other people were selected to be aboard their traveling ship, searching for the next planet capable of supporting human life. Not even months after departure, the ship was infiltrated. This resulted in their back-up safety feature coming into play. Cryogenic Sleep. All of the surviving members of the traveling ship were placed into individual cryogenic pods and put to sleep. When Eris finally wakes, she doesn't have any memories of her past. She can't even recall her own name. Not to mention, there's something particularly strange about the two men that woke her... Will she regain her memories? What happened on that ship? Caspian Fowler is Eris' "boyfriend" before the ship was infiltrated. He must navigate how to interact with his now ex-girlfriend and silently hope she'll fall in love with him all over again. Or was she ever in love with him in the first place?
