He slowly spread his fingers out, then carefully entwined them with hers, as if he were savoring every sweet touch. He nuzzled his nose behind her ear and inhaled deeply, then let it out. His warm breath on her skin made her shiver and she felt her cheeks heat up. His free hand found her waist and rested there, making her shiver again. "I've got you, my dear," he said softly, nuzzling behind her ear once more. "You're safe.
