Alec and Magnus have been married for six years and couldn't be happier. With Alec's bakery taking off and Magnus's interior design business starting, life is pretty hectic. Alec wants to start a family, much to Magnus's hesitance. A child might be too much for them right now. However, all thoughts of that go out the window when they go with Jace to his old Orphanage. There, they meet two young boys, Max age eight, and Rafael age ten. Alec and Magnus instantly fall in love with these kids, and takes them into their home as foster parents. The road of parenthood is a bumpy one though, between work, Max's picky eating, and Rafael's obvious distaste for Alec and Magnus. Will they ever become the family they wished for, or will the children's past make them unable to accept Alec and Magnus into their lives?

Alec and his three siblings are not happy about having to leave everything and everybody they know behind but after a while they actually start to like their new home. Alec is especially curious about their new neighbour, Magnus Bane, who is also working at library of their new school during the week and who seems to have a big secret. Alec knows that Magnus is way out of his reach: he is almost six years older than he is and he is also known for not letting anybody into his life but still he just can't help falling for him. Apart from that Alec discovers that there might be something his mother is trying to hide from him, something important about their family and their past that could possibly change his entire life ...

Magnus and Alec deserve their own story, there are so many gaps in their story, especially in TMI. I've written this from their alternating Point of Views. This is a canon compliant love story of Magnus and Alec. It will cover how they first met, how their relationship developed etc. It covers TMI, TBC, TftSA and TDA and beyond TDA, where I'm flying my own course with them. M/M

-I own none of the characters except for my own- Alec needs money, he lives in a flat with his best friend Jace but he recently got fired and can no longer afford rent, Jace would have no choice but to throw him out if he missed another month; so when he finds out the well known fashion designer Raphael Santiago is hiring, and Alec is an absolute heartthrob, he has no other choice to sign up. Once signed up, he starts the job well and gets his first pay check pretty quickly. He meets the photographer, the famous Magnus Bane. An outgoing guy who loves his camera as if it were human, while Alec is quiet and alone. How is this relationship going to unfold with all the events that stand in their way?

Alec Lightwood was pretty content with his life, he had a successful job leading a law firm with one of his best friends, a great relationship with his siblings and a perfectly acceptable apartment. He really wasn't looking for anything more but when he finds a little girl waiting all alone in a coffee shop his life will change irremediably and maybe that's not such a bad thing after all. Or. The one in which Alec makes up with his mother, gets a boyfriend and adopts a little girl. Just not necessarily in that order.
