After her father falls fatally ill, Molly Hooper sets off to visit the great scientist, Sherlock Holmes, who is sure to be able to discover a cure for her father. Holmes is brilliant, emotionless, and he can be downright cruel without knowing and in return for the cure he asks for Molly. Her body, her mind. Her thoughts, her behaviour. She agrees and becomes his study piece. After quite sometime, Molly discovers that he isn't quite as cruel as he originally seemed, and somehow Holmes somehow seems to be gaining emotions, specifically emotions directed towards her. Could it be possible that Molly is Holmes' own cure? [Sherlolly]

As Molly enters college she is surprised to see Sherlock in her biology class, and as an old friend Sherlocks surprised too. They both are in an unfamiliar place and only have each other for help. When Molly and Sherlock are assigned as partners for their final project they discover that great minds think alike.

Showing up and staying are two entirely different things. Sherlock Holmes has to prove he is a capable father and also sort through the clouded fog that is his feelings for Molly. Baby Marigold Aliyah Holmes has just entered the world, but will she grow up without a father?
