A guerra civil com os vingadores aconteceu a algum tempo. Agora Tony Stark está sozinho. A equipe dos vingadores foi desfeita, sua namorada tinha dado um tempo em seu relacionamento e seu melhor amigo estava hospitalizado e fazendo fisioterapia. Em uma dessas visitas ao amigo, Tony vê um anúncio de adoção, e se dá conta que ele poderia ter um filho para tornar sua mais feliz. Tony acaba escolhendo adotar Peter Parker, um garoto com seus 15 anos, mas que chama a atenção de Tony por eles terem tanto em comum. Antes de oficializar a adoção eles terão que passar por um Período de Adaptação, que é realizado para se ter certeza que a adoção dará certo. Mas Peter já passou por muitas rejeições anteriores para ficar tranquilo com esse período de convivência. O adolescente vai fazer o possível para não passar por mais uma rejeição e ser devolvido para o orfanato, isso incluía esconder sua identidade como Homem Aranha.

A semana estava indo perfeitamente bem, Flash não estava pegando no seu pé, as patrulhas estavam indo até tarde porque ele conseguia pegar os bandidos e ele havia ganhado de Tony no dia dos jogos que eles e os vingadores faziam todas as semanas. Estava tudo ocorrendo bem, exceto pelo fato de que Tony autorizou uma viagem de campo para as Indústrias Stark por vingança. postada somente no wattpad.
