Like a phoenix, they arose. From the ashes of a world burnt by massive nuclear holocaust and frozen by a millennia of nuclear winter. They are the Fisted Races and they struggle against the tattered remnant of Humanity for what little resources are left on a battered Earth. Ryon, Tigris, Kanid and Pantor; all equally powerful in skill and cunning. And in their hatred of the human race that nearly destroyed the world with the Great Burn. But now an even greater power in the south was rising that threatened Fisted and Humans alike. Could they somehow put the bloodshed and horror of their history behind them and stand together against it? Because if they didn't, not only would Humanity and the Fisted die, but so would every living thing on the planet!

[Cover credit: Malot Aznar] "You need to learn to notice when a door is closed. If the door is open, you go through it, and if it's not, you need to see if you can build a new door, not just barge in whenever you want." Living alone for years, the last thing Kathryn would want is to be caught by an attacking pack. A survivor of an attack that destroyed her own pack, she has always been a lone wolf. What seems to be the end of her life becomes a chance to start anew when she met her mate - Liam. The only problem: Liam is the Alpha of the blood-thirsty pack, responsible for many destructions and deaths. Bound by fate, Kathryn's only option is to try to change Liam from his cold-hearted ways. However, it is not as easy as she hoped it would be especially with objections coming from the members of the pack. To make matters worse, an imminent attack boils around the corner. Having experienced a brutal attack that wiped away her pack, how will Kathryn face her own personal struggles? (Bfflad- Best friends for life and death) Dear Reader, Let's start at the beginning shall we? I died. Oh no, not one of these stories again where someone angelic and heroic saves the damsel in distress. If only I was that lucky. My heart stopped beating. My lungs stopped working, my soul began to lift away... And then I was saved by a beautiful man with a kind heart and sparkles sprinkled around his head in a golden halo. A cunning, dazzling smile etched his angled features and his hair lay perfectly on his head like...black, sinful layers of pure cynical distrusting evil. Evil that was just waiting to onset a innocent girl as myself and allow her a short amount of time of happiness, and then finish her off when she became older. I'll give you a hint. The beginning of that description was slightly exaggerated. The Angel of Death. One of the only creatures known that was capable of settling the boundaries of heaven on earth. The only creature capable of making one of the Devil's darkest deals to my loving mother; a second chance for her daughter. This comes with consequences of course. Everything you know about Death is wrong. Death is not natural, Death is not normal, Death is not doleful, and Death is far from mercenary. Death blends into the shadows like coal against the most atramentous sky. Death walks the earth with his cursed, monstrous and exotic features, his enticing voice and betraying alluring eyes. Death deceives, scratches, and plays with your mind, until you slowly and painfully loose your grip on reality. He'll make you believe he's a different person, that there's a sliver hope for him. Hope for you. Death is close. What if we were the first in our part of the galaxy to discover the secret of faster than light travel? What if this discovery was 10,000 years before it was supposed to be? Our neighbors had been watching for centuries and were surprised with our early arrival into the Web of Worlds... The Year is 2166: To the people of Earth, the universe seemed to be a very lonely place. Astronomers have discovered tens of thousands of planets; many had indications of organic life. SETI had been searching for signals for over 200 years. There had been a few tantalizing bits of radio or radar energy received but nothing ever proven to be of intelligent origin. But there was an alien civilization out there, in fact many of them linked together in a Web of Worlds. They were watching us quietly, carefully and patiently. It had long been the prime directive of the Web that no developing civilization be contacted until that civilization made it into interstellar space on their own; and that always took time, lots of time. Most Web worlds took 1,000 years or more to go from steam to the atom and none had made it from the atom to a sublight stardrive in less than 5,000 standard years. Every civilization of The Web had proven that faster than light travel was impossible, so there was plenty of time to watch the Earth... The watchers were astounded with the speed of progress of human science and also horrified at the periods of violence. By 2076 nuclear fusion power was widespread on earth. By 2100 the first interplanetary fusion ships explored the Sol system. The men and women of the Anglosphere Alliance began their first missions in ships approaching 0.1c. At that velocity, manned flight to even the nearest stars would take a lifetime. What would happen if a beautiful engineer and a brilliant physicist stumbled upon an artificial gravity field which would make a faster than light drive possible... [BOOK 2] NOTE FROM AUTHOR: "I wrote this book in High school, so if you don't like it and find it poorly written, I completely understand" Selene is the abomination to her race; half-human wolf, no one knows her secret except her even more secretive father. If anyone were to find out what she was it could mean in her untimely death. When her father's past comes hunting him down, Selene's forced to live in a house occupied by all-male inhabitants--unmated, bad-mannered, and untamed wolves that obey a temperamental young Alpha. Alpha Lucca wants nothing to do with the she-wolf that clings to his new Beta's back. Hard to ignore the fact that she is aggressive, beautiful and exactly the type of girl he'd want, Lucca is bent on evading her from his thoughts...and his dreams. Selene proves to add to his long list of problems as she spends everyday near his line of sight and out of his reach. He goes out of his way to make it clear that he loathes her, but but not in the way she thinks. Drawn to her like a moth to a flame, Lucca desires to keep her in his dominion, whether she likes to or not. Written: 2012

Innovative forms of technology have enabled them to abandon the old model and re-engineer a better way of living for all.
