The fragile balance shatters when a new kid named America sits next to him in first period. America's scent is maddening, and his relentless attempts at friendship are even worse. But the biggest problem is that Russia can't let him get close--not when the darkness inside is always one slip away from taking control. America's life has never been normal, because his normal was hunting the abnormal. Raised in a family of vampire hunters, he was trained to track and kill the creatures in small, suspicious towns.
