My best friend Niall Horan has always been the smiley, laughing, care free kind of guy, but then I noticed something about him. Scars started to appear on his arms, more and more every week. But he still wasn't happy. I never asked why he did it; I thought it was too personal. But I always wondered why? Why would he do that to himself? He was so handsome, and funny, I would even say perfect. And it wasn't until now, that I noticed how much I really loved him. I’ll make sure to always have liquor around.” Niall winked as he helped the fumbling brunette into his passenger seat. Excerpt from Chapter 10: “Sabella? Is that you?” Niall asked tentatively his voice soft and shaking. The brunette whirled around and her hazel eyes widened. She hadn’t expected Niall or the others for some time but here they were right in front of her. Her breathing stopped and her heart clenched at the sight of Niall. He looked the same, delicious, but also wiser. He was looking at her with his heart in his eyes. “Niall.” Was the only thing she could utter before running to him. Niall opened his arms and lifted Sabella up with ease. She was always so responsive and physically needy and he loved it. The brunette wrapped her lithe legs around Niall’s slim hips and smothered her face in his throat.

One drunk mistake and that's it. You sit in a wheelchair. Can't walk. You don't want anything just to die. You lost your last hopes to ever stand up, run and enjoy your life. His name is Niall. Yes, the same Niall from One Direction. He hates himself that he didn't listen to his friends and did what he shouldn't being drunk. Maybe he will find hope to ever stand up? Maybe seeing a person's near him problem, he will change? Will he fall in love with the one who can't heal anymore?

The last time she had seen him, he had just a slight tuft of blonde but his hair had grown out enough to cut it and now it was all back to his natural color. Having always hated the blonde, she found herself more attracted to him; more aroused. He didn't look like a kid anymore. He looked like a man.... He sat down before taking the drink she had ordered for him. She watched his throat as he swallowed the burning liquid. The bob of his Adam's apple made her almost bite her bottom lip at how hot it was. He never winced when he drank any hard liquor, which made him all the more attractive to her. He could take a drink the way she took him.... She laced an arm around his neck, running her hand through his hair and twirling a strand around her finger before tugging on it a little. She leaned in and began placing kisses along his neck. She felt him shudder a little at the sudden contact. Feeling the goosebumps forming along his skin, she bit at the spot along his jawline that was one of his sensitive spots. She felt him as he placed his hand on her leg and drag it up her thigh. She bit at him again as his grip on her tightened. She was so close to him that she heard his breath catch and falter in his throat... She could feel his breath on her neck and she let a shudder move up her spine. She felt him smile against her skin, pleased that he had this effect on her... Bringing her mouth to his ear, she whispered, "We should take this back to my place." Without a word, he paid for their drinks and they left...

I didn't know what spooked him. I knew it wasn't me. I knew it wasn't anything I had done. But someone, somewhere along the way had hurt him. I had my guess as to who, but didn't know how I could find out for sure. But whatever it was clearly left its mark; an unseen scar that was still healing. We laid there in the quiet of the darkness. His breathing slowly began to steady and his fingers slowly ceased running down my arm. At some point, I knew he had fallen asleep. I tilted my head back up towards his face, finding his cheek, kissing him. "I don't know what made you so afraid," I whispered, "But I can see the shadow behind your face. Who hurt you? Who put your heart through so much pain? I hope you find a way to tell me what you're running from. I promise you can talk to me; you can trust me. I won't break you. I just want to know how to get in there. How do I get you to show me your heart?" I kissed him once more before resting my head down again. Closing my eyes, I inhaled deeply, loving the way his natural scent mixed with the cologne he had put on. "I promise, you've got the best of me. And I'll do what it takes to bring out the best in you."
