"I'll make the best of working with you more closely.. I mean, working under you, sir! " He beamed, scratching the back of his neck embarrassedly. I couldn't help the look on my face. I was confused. His smile was bright and genuine but it didn't reach his eyes. For some reason, my curiosity had been peaked which hadn't happened for.. a long time. The only thing I've ever been interested in is work. I wanted to know why. Why was he pretending? . . . Two people who work under the same company but lead completely different lives on different wavelengths. Kentrell Suede had an upbringing where success was the most important thing in life. It was drilled into his head and so he went to the extreme with it, becoming the CEO of his company. He's only ever cared about work. He thinks it's pointless to care about things like relationships or hobbies. He's cold and closed off because he believes nothing else matters. Kentrell had reached the top of the ladder so why would he having this emptiness in his heart unbeknownst to him? That was until he met a weirdly happy employee that he would be seeing what more often. Niccolo Siano is your typical happy go lucky employee. So much so because he enjoys his job and the people around him. The company is ran amazing. If you asked his coworkers what he's like, they'd tell you he's always smiling and putting one on others faces. His personal life? Not so much. He swiftly avoid talking about his personal life at work and he'd like to keep it that way. He shows everyone the side he wants to see and not the one when he gets back home. Kentrell didn't get why Niccolo smiled so much when it didn't even reach his eyes. Why smile if your not truly happy? Niccolo wondered why Mr. Suede didn't smile more.
