Arion, known as Tema in the game, dreams of finishing the game for its grand prize. After the simple gesture of escorting an in-game character called Alise... things start to get strange. Alise shows strong signs of being human, bosses and other character acts of their own accord...and Arion even begins to feel the effects of the game...carry over to real life. Is Arion simply imagining things? You'll have to see. A Sword-Art-Online inspired story that blurs the line between reality and fiction. This is a new Story so tell me what you think. In the lands of Kainor some people are born with runes. These runes, scrawled in black at the base of the right side of the neck, grant the person a certain power. These powers can range from cooking to combat and some can be very powerful and others not so much. One girl is born with a different rune, a golden rune painted on her face. The strange rune gives her strange powers. She is able to steal other people's runes. Now a dangerous assassin, Laika travels the lands of Kainor until she is finally captured by the King of Galabee's soldiers. She is used as a brute to strike fear into the King's not so loyal subjects, while she is kept company by the King's two sons. One of whom helps her realize that maybe she is more than just a killer. I lived the first 10 years of my life thinking I was normal - that I was human - but that image was shattered when the incident happened. Now, 6 years later, I just try to blend in and stay out of everybody's way while doing secret research on what happened to me. But apparently that research wasn't so secret. Some school for 'The Gifted' had noticed me and have now 'recruited' me. So now I'm being dragged away from what I never understood and being thrown into a world of things that can't possibly exist. I was never the typical sixteen year old teenager. I never partied, I didn't date, the only thing I did too much of was read. I didn't do anything that would cause me to fly over the radar. I never did anything to cause my father concern, even to him I blended into the scenery, he was to busy working to pay me much attention anyways. When I went to a party with the most popular guy in school I figured worst case scenario I might be publicly humiliated...not kidnapped. I soon found myself and some of my classmates used as lab rats for some pharmaceutical companies experiments to create super humans. This is our story.
