Depois de 2 anos afastada da guilda, Lucy enfim retorna a Fairy Tail. Ao reencontrarem a amiga, todos desejam repostas sobre seu desaparecimento repentino, mas a loira ainda não está preparada para lhes dizer a verdade. Com a volta de Lucy, Natsu começa a perceber um sentimento maior em relação a amiga e como ela fez falta na sua vida, nisso ele vai descobrindo um sentimento além da amizade, e o mesmo vale de Lucy para ele. Mas nem tudo são flores quando ameaças vem a tona e a Fairy Tail precisa se preparar para a batalha, nisso, segredos são revelados e passados são descobertos, e no meio de um caos sem pretendentes, a promessa feita por dois magos é a esperança que os mantém unidos nessa tempestade.
