"Great power comes with great..." I raised my eyebrows at Guardian, looking his skin-tight suit up and down. "Urges to wear spandex, apparently." "Are you using altered famous superhero comic book references to insult me?" he asked incredulously. I snorted. "You bet your fucking ass, I am." *** Crown City has all the typical big-city flare. There's a McDonald's on every corner, enough carbon emissions to end life as we know it, and a new supervillain trying to take over right before finals week. For Tessa Kingston, Supers are nothing out of the ordinary. In fact, Tessa likes to pretend that Supers don't even exist at all. Though Tessa isn't exactly shy with her not-so-popular thoughts on Crown City's resident vigilante, Guardian, he seems to have taken a liking to the annoyed teenager. Well, he and his buddies have, that is - buddies meaning two supervillains dressed in Walmart Star Wars masks. Crown City has always been a center for mayhem and superpowers, but when strange things start happening too often to be coincidences, Tessa finds herself in the middle of a fight she didn't start but she sure as hell was going to end. Villains torment her. Heroes try to save her. Tessa just wants to pass Supers 101. In a world full of Supers, it's up to normal-teenager Tessa Kingston to save her city. A typical tagline she's well-aware of, of course. As Tessa prepares to show these Super-fools they messed with the wrong girl, she just has one condition: There's no way she's wearing spandex. *** BOOK #1 OF THE "SUPERHEROES SUCK" DUOLOGY Featured on the Wattpad Adventure, Action, Superhero, and Humour profiles! WARNING: Contains mild swearing, cliffhangers, plot twists, and enough sarcasm to last a lifetime.

. Three years. It had been three years since he'd been taken, experimented on, had his DNA altered and became a freak of nature. He knew because he'd managed to peek at the computer when they dragged him into that dreaded room; the one they used to prod, poke and inject him with god-knows-what. He was considered their only success - meaning their illegal tests hadn't killed him or rendered him paralysed, or worse; brain dead. He was subject 254. And he was the only survivor. At least until she - subject 391 - moved into the cell next door. - - 18th June 2018 - Rank 1 #sciencefiction 17th May 2019 - Rank 4 #romance 22nd Feb 2019 - Rank 1 #superpowers -- ** NOW COMPLETED**

THIS BOOK IS PUBLISHED!!!! COMPLETE VERSION IS AVAILABLE ON AMAZON!!!! "The night I met the Olsons, the family was in chaos." All his mother's life, she had denied the fact of having a son. Except, in his mind, she was right. As soon as Sawyer had the chance, he ran as fast and as far as he could with a backpack and an ambition. He set off, not looking back, sifting through feelings of insecurity. All his life, he had been told he was the criminal, not the victim. Running away was always part of the plan-- as an outcast, it was silently expected. Soon, he finds that leaving his past behind isn't as easy as he thought. His solution to the predicament of his life seemed to enhance his downfall. As he stumbles through the journey, he runs into individuals that seem to have it all together. Now, as his judgement becomes hazy, he begins to see that perfect doesn't exist. And his hopeless case doesn't have to either. *PRECAUTION: this book does have a little bit more of a deeper theme than some of my others. The characters' experiences may be a little excessive in terms of their past. Please keep that in mind before/as you read.* {Started: August 6, 2016 Finished: December 26, 2016} (PC: trilogy || Instagram)

FREE STORY WITH EXCLUSIVE CONTENT. This is *not* a Paid Story. Eighteen-year-old hockey prodigy Elliot Wexler has three goals for senior year. One: somehow graduate with a 3.5 GPA. Two: hide his bipolar disorder from his peers. And three: make it into the NHL with no scandals. Piece of cake. What he doesn't expect is to find Lucy, a homeless girl, hiding from the winter frost in his dad's shed. Elliot's busy, complicated life doesn't permit room for error, and falling in love with a girl from a totally different world sounds like the opposite of a good idea. But Elliot can't help but be drawn to Lucy and her elusive ways--even when she seems to vanish from his life non-stop, each time leaving him with a bigger hole in his heart. But Elliot is determined to break down Lucy's barriers. And when he does, he discovers that her life is more complicated--and dangerous--than he could have imagined. With drafting season approaching, and Elliot's fragile mental health deteriorating, he's forced to face a difficult question: Is first love supposed to hurt so much? *** PLEASE DO NOT ADD THIS STORY TO GOODREADS.
