(I won't put that 2007 NaNovel on here because it's 52k long and turned out to be a collection of scenes without anything resembling a plot.) The chapter was meant to be a sort of flashback to a previous life lived by the four main characters, but those references have been removed to make it stand-alone. If I continue with the story of the sheriff's wife, I'd start from scratch and fill it out a lot more, as this is really just a synopsis. :)
