A misdelivered love letter meant for the school's cheerleader lands in her twin brother's locker, sparking an unexpected friendship that forces Oliver to face family secrets, his identity, and his growing feelings for the one boy he was never supposed to love. *** Oliver Grant wasn't trying to fall for Max Ellis. He had one job: slip a love letter into locker 166 and finally confess to Kate Ellis - the cool, untouchable cheerleader of his teenage dreams. Instead, it ends up in locker 168. Which belongs to Max Ellis - Kate's twin brother. Broody. Quiet. Star football player. Definitely not the person Oliver was supposed to fall for. And the worst part? Since that day, Max Ellis has been way too interested in Oliver Grant - showing up, sitting too close, smiling like he knows exactly what he's doing. The more Oliver tries to avoid him... ...the harder Max makes it to walk away. Now Oliver's life is spiraling into awkward hallway run-ins, mixed signals, and a growing suspicion that maybe - just maybe - the wrong locker wasn't a mistake at all.

WATTYS 2023 SHORTLIST | WATTYS 2023 FANS CHOICE AWARDS NOMINEE Initially looking for nothing more than a feelings-free summer fling before college, reckless Harris McCammon and anxious Seb Krause might have stumbled into more than they bargained for. --------------------------------- When a graduation party takes a risky turn, Harrison McCammon finds himself in the passenger seat of Sebastian Krause's truck. When the two virtual strangers agree to begin a friends with benefits kind of situation, neither expect anything more than maybe a fun situationship before they leave for college. But as their casual entanglement turns into something slightly more, the two of them are forced to push down their real thoughts on this non-relationship. Add in sketchy ex-boyfriends, concerned parents, and a small dash of existential dread, there's no such thing as no strings attached. TW: underaged substance abuse; mentions of/attempted SA; (fade to black/non-explicit) sex; homophobic figures/abandonment; hospitalisation ^that sounds like a lot, wow, i'm sorry, it's ... it's mainly fluff ---ONC Ambassadors Round 2 Pick, 2023---

Viviano "Viv" Vitale is the newly checked in patient of a dull psychiatric ward after a quiet breakdown that no one in his life saw coming. He hates his name, his smile, and the way everyone keeps telling him he's "too normal to be here." Viv's instinct is to ignore his new non-binary, awkward and timid roommate completely. What follows is a slow, uneasy connection built through nighttime conversations when the rest of the ward is asleep. Viv doesn't understand his own pain, let alone anyone else's, but in trying to figure this person out, he might start seeing himself a little clearer too. Everybody at Fairview High knew that Kyle Konstantinov, the school's biggest flirt, and Nath Santos-Rodriguez, the football team's wide receiver and biggest mystery, were close. It was almost odd, the stark comparison between the bouncy, friendly junior and the tall, brooding senior. On paper, it shouldn't have worked. But something in Kyle evened out something in Nath, and despite having nothing in common, their personalities mixed like peanut butter and jelly. No one quite knows exactly how or when they came to be, but soon they became a well known concept, as if they had somehow merged the idea of one another into their own presence. They didn't have a label for whatever they were, they just were. Until one day, they weren't. Nath and Kyle aren't high schoolers anymore. They're in their twenties, secure in their lives, put their past behind them. Neither of them have talked to eachother since that day, both convincing themselves that there's no other option - not with betrayal that big, secrets that hidden, lies that oppressive. But by either a devious twist of fate or a stroke of second-chance luck, the universe decides to bring them back together. The paradox only begs the question: can something so strong ever truly be snuffed out? Or is a spark only ever going to light into flame?

Fate brought Asher and Cas together to bring everything to the surface. Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it. Jonathan hasn't been honest a single day in his life. All his friends, his smiles, and his zest for life are just a way of lying to himself and everyone else. Did he have a bit of an addiction to alcohol and tobacco? Maybe. Was he incapable of eating a single full plate of food a day? Perhaps. Did he live with an abusive, drug-addled father 24/7? True. But he was okay, because he was Jonathan. And Jonathan was the happy kid, the life of the party, and he didn't have any problems in life. Right? Sending him to an institution with five other boys in equally deplorable mental states is just an excuse for him to run away from home, not because he needs it. Obviously. The important thing is that Jonathan will continue to be perfect...until he isn't.
