"What is going on?" Evan finally demanded and Mr. Reigns chuckled, crossing his arms. "Your parents have a debt to me, kid. 17 years ago, Margaret came to me for help, as Phillip was sterile and they needed a miracle to save their boy. I had my men tested and one kindly donated to your parents, to give them a parts garden for the child they actually wanted. "The only payment I asked for was, well, you. My children needed spouses, and why not one indebted into loyalty? I believe my son, Derek, is the one interested, so feel lucky. You may be marrying the heir to the biggest mafia on the West Coast," he said smugly, Evan's mouth falling open. ~~~~~~ At 16, Evan Buckley was sold off to a mafia leader to marry his son to settle a debt the Buckley parents held. At 28, Buck was the elusive husband to the most successful mafia leader by night, coffee shop bakery owner by day. And first responders were his main customers. Especially the firefighter with the tired yet warm brown eyes and shy smile who came in looking for a simple coffee and a minute of Buck's time.

*Warning, this story contains child abuse and neglect, homophobia, minor and brief suicidal ideations* If there is one thing that Buck knows, it's that he's not enough to get people to stay. He's had a family who barely acknowledged he was there and another that just left him behind. A sister who pushed him away, giving him keys to a car and a debit card to an account he had no interest in having. Bobby and Marcy were the only people he could count on. Then he meets Eddie Diaz. But even he broke his heart, leaving in the middle of the night just as they were planning a life together. All he left was a note that held no answers. Buck was once again, not enough. Moving to LA is a fresh start for Buck and for Bobby, things are good. After almost 7 years Buck is finally feeling like he's in a place where he's ready to trust someone again when he meets Abby. And even when she leaves, things still feel good, not perfect but good. Until Bobby introduces the 118's newest recruit. Eddie Diaz.

But when a near-tragedy forces them to face the feelings they've both buried for too long, Buck and Eddie find themselves fighting for more than just survival. Through grief, danger, and second chances, they discover that love, like the family they've built, can withstand anything. And when the smoke clears, it's about more than what's been lost. 9-1-1 fanfiction. Pairing: Buck/Eddie. A visit to his parents' house fully reawakens the demons that Buck had barely begun to put to bed. When all of Eddie's attempts to comfort him with words fail, Bobby helps him realize it's time for action. Specifically, a particularly hot night where Eddie is going to drive Buck wild and make him realize exactly what he means to Eddie. This is canon-compliant all the way through 4x14, with the premise that Buck & Eddie became a couple a little after that (and are out to the firefam). Strong m/m sexual content in Chapter 2, so don't read if that's not your thing. DISCLAIMER: I don't own 9-1-1 or anything related to it, I don't make any money from this, you know the drill. Please don't sue me.

They've always been close, too close. Between fires, sleepless nights, and quiet glances across crowded rooms, Buck and Eddie have built something unspoken. Something steady. Something they both pretend not to feel. But silence can only hold so much. And sometimes, the words we never say start to weigh more than the ones we do. What We Don't Say is a slow-burn emotional journey through fear, friendship, heartbreak, and the moments that change everything, quietly, completely, and forever. Because some love stories aren't loud. They're the ones that linger in what we don't say... Until we finally do. 🎭 Drama 😨 Angst ❤️‍🔥 Slow Burn ❤️ Buddie
