Now escaped from a G.I.W.-controlled Amity, Danny has been reunited with Damian and is trying to adapt to his new life in the manor. It's harder than expected. Or Danny's time with the Fentons has left a mark. How will the Bats handle their newest bird?

Danny Phantom was known as a quiet, effective hero/menace. Danny Fenton was known as a geek, Twink who couldn't speak. Danny hadn't expected to lose his voice in exchange for something else. Then he gets a scholarship along with his two friends and discovers Gotham.

Danny wasn't a Fenton. He wasn't their original child, in fact, he was their nephew. A nephew they lied to. They thought they were helping him, but all it did was cause him to resent them. Cause him to run away. He needed to fix this mistake he unknowingly made. Dick wasn't a Wayne, but he liked pretending to be. It felt better than remembering that he was abandoned by someone he thought he could trust. Someone he thought would never leave his side. Someone who wasn't there for their deaths. Yet, they couldn't stay away from each other for too long. After all, they were two halves of the same whole.

Damian has an old two-way league communicator. It was a connection to his brother. A way to keep an eye on each other. That's not a problem, right? Well, it turns out that having your not-so-dead brother calling you first thing in the morning really cuts down your sleeping hours. Or: Dami thought Danny had died. Mother even told him so. So why is it years later that Danny calls for help While proceeding not to explain what he actually needs help with, is causing him so many problems

After the LOA becomes too dangerous for her children, Talia does the unimaginable to get them out. Damian easily goes to his Father once the time is right, but Danny? That's tricky. Why? Because he's dead. Or at least that's what the League of Assassins believes. or- Danny, hidden away from his family, wants more than anything to go home. The Fentons are nice, but they aren't family.
