They are in high school and Giyuu is the emo/loner and he is somewhat friends with Sanemi who is close enough to the emo/loner style but more extrovert than him, but Sanemi has a crush on Giyuu and wouldn't say anything to him. But he is jealous as someone who in a really big extrovert is approaching Giyuu, named Rengoku. So Rengoku learns that Sanemi likes Giyuu and they start to fight over Giyuu and try to win him over until Giyuu makes his final pick. This takes place right after Masachika's death. Sanemi had just been given the title of Wind Hashira but he was sick and grieving. He walked out of the butterfly estate where he was being treated for his sickness and wounds. It was raining, he wanted to end it all off of a cliff. He was so tired of losing the people he cared about. He didn't want the pain anymore. But he ran into someone. This person was so beautiful. This person tried his best to stop Sanemi but Sanemi was so out of his mind and striked by this beauty in front of him, he asked the man for something special to help relieve his pain and suffering, something only the two of them will know about something that will grow into more. It will flourish into a relationship with Giyuu Tomioka and Sanemi Shinazugawa

Tomioka doesn't talk to the hashira at all he will talk to the master and that is it. Most of the hashira respect Tomioka's silent wishes to not talk to him and stay away from him. Though Shinobu wishes he interacts more with the others and she picks on him to try to get some sort of emotion. There is also Sanemi who wants Tomioka to show some emotion and act like a "normal" person so he threateneds him.

SaneGiyuu one shot. This is something I was working on for a while but saved until I got caught up on my stories. Sanemi and Giyuu are in a secret relationship, Giyuu feels like it is hard to be with Sanemi in secret because it is getting harder and harder to hide it. So one day he invites Sanemi over and expresses how he feels but it leads to an argument because Sanemi doesn't want to but Giyuu obviously does. So Giyuu suggest if being with him is so embarrassing they shouldn't be together at all, and Sanemi agrees thinking it was a bluff but then Giyuu completely ends it, for about 2 months they were broken up until one day after a hashira meeting Sanemi does something that reveals everything.

Highschool Au, Sanemi Shinazugawa the school's bad boy. He gets into fights and basically is mean and doesn't do well in school. One day he bumps into a guy and is pissed off so he tries to fight him, but another guy who is well known for being handsome, kind, and not to mention very rich steps in, he fights Sanemi and forces Sanemi to be his dog, but the thing is this guy, named Tomioka Giyuu hate dogs, he thinks they are violent and mean just like Sanemi, but for some reason he keeps Sanemi around.

A blast in the past as Sanemi Shinazugawa goes with his friends to a cafe and surprise, surprise. His ex Giyuu Tomioka owns it. They used to date in highschool and Sanemi tries to win Giyuu back.
