Jungkook has always been the type to give everything. His time, his energy, his heart. Even when he knows it won't last.
Seokjin isn't.
Seokjin lives carefully, cautiously, building walls out of logic and self-preservation. He doesn't believe in "forever," not when life has shown him how quickly things fall apart. Love, to him, is something fleeting. Something you enjoy while it's there, but never depend on.
So when Jungkook walks into his life, bright, stubborn, patient, and impossibly sincere, Jin tries to keep his distance.
But Jungkook doesn't ask for forever.
He just asks for now.
"Even if it's a waste," Jungkook says with a soft smile, "then waste it on me."
And somehow, that's what terrifies Jin the most. Not the idea of losing Jungkook someday, but the realization that he wants something he knows he can't keep.
As nights grow longer and their connection deepens, Jin is forced to confront the one thing he's been avoiding.
Is something temporary still worth everything?
