5 years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Supers, Aldrich's bio-weapon, a virus is found and dubbed the Super Flu as it wipes out 96 percent of the world's population The majority of non-superpowered humans are killed leaving the 6 percent to struggle to survive in the post apocalyptic ruins of their old society Meanwhile Marcy Boonchuy-Wu the leader of the Supers & Metahuman in Muir Woods now renamed New Los Angeles has alongside her family built a new civilization for supers and metahumans alike, and are content with their new lives and are happy that they're able to be themselves without the law of the old world being forced upon them Sprig has formed a brotherly relationship with Romeo, however the past comes back to the supers & Metahumans in the form of normal human survivors Including Steven's girlfriend Connie Maheswaran and her parents, lead by a single mother from Scandinavia named Johanna and her 11 year old daughter Hilda Who need to access a dam, to bring power back to San Francisco however the issue is that it's in the middle of New Los Angeles Marcy reluctantly allows them to fix the dam to power their city, meanwhile feeling betrayed by Marcy..... Romeo plots to betray his leader Marcy and his brother Sprig to ignite a war against the non-powered humans called "haoles" by the supers & Metahumans so he can finally enact his revenge on them for years of abuse and torment they brought on him Can Peace be achieved or will War break out between the two groups of humanity
