Buck is trying to move on after been abandoned by his ex, Eddie is learning to deal with his disability, until a fire throws them both together and Bucks need to help people pushes him close to crossing the line with work but is he willing to give his job up for something meaningful

Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz, two firefighters that have been best friends for awhile are on a call for a structure fire, a small abandoned apartment building. They believe it was an electrical fire, but they aren't exactly sure. Eddie has been worried about Buck for awhile now because of an accident that Buck got in a bit earlier in the month. Although, this is nothing new because Eddie has always worried about Buck, just because Buck has always had it tough, shitty parents, shitty ex's, and an all around shitty life. They were always bound to be best friends, but maybe more.. Eddie realizes that he can't live without Buck.. but he may realize it to late..

Buck and Eddie are "just friends", bonded by their jobs. After one night, everything changes. Hugs begin to last longer, and deep looks are passed between the two. But when Eddie is in between life and death and Buck is there throughout all of it, will anything ever truly change between them to? All will they always been bound to the title of "just friends."
