Eight-year-old Maylee Sokolova was raised in the Red Room, a 'program' where you're nothing but a shadow of what you once were. Karina, who was also raised in the Red Room, is 12 years old and has been through hell and back. She tries her best to help Maylee after realizing they were putting her through the same torture she endured. Karina and Maylee escape together. Maylee seeks comfort and a sense of belonging in the world, while Karina seeks revenge. Her first act of revenge is against Tony Stark, the one she believes killed her parents. But things go south quickly, S.H.I.E.L.D. finds the two and takes them in. Karina mysteriously dies, leaving the eight-year-old all alone with her demons. But little does she know she's not alone, because Natasha Romanoff, an ex-assassin, relates to the kid just a little too much to leave her alone .ᐟ.ᐟ IN MY OPINION THE FIRST TEN OR SO CHAPTERS ARE NOT THE BEST! "I should've gone to school today" "Yeah, you should've " "I wish we just stayed home today" "Me too Hol's" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In which Holly Robinavitch should've just trusted that her dad could handle himself but she's glad she didn't.

Despite her rocky upbringing, Juniper Dixon strives to be kind to all things, even those who are not kind to her- except for the dead. She didn't really fit in at school or at home, but she supposes that doesn't really matter, now that the dead are walking. All that matters is that she keeps breathing. At least, that's what her dad says. β€’ ⚠️ This book has mature themes such as EDs and abuse, with slight mentions of sa and suicide. They aren't constant and they're not nearly as intense as they are in Future Ghosts, but they are there. ⚠️ If there are any typos/errors, please don't hesitate to point them out so I can fix them! Comments are appreciated! Enjoy!

Ellie Robinavitch grew up in the emergency room-doing homework at the nurses' station, learning which alarms mattered, and watching her dad hold the chaos together like it was second nature. She thought he was untouchable. But over time, something started to shift. Not enough to name. Not enough to stop. Just small moments-missed sleep, shorter answers, a heaviness that seemed to follow him home. The kind of unraveling that happens quietly. The kind you don't realize you're watching until you're already in the middle of it. Now, as Ellie is pulled deeper into the world she thought she understood, she's left trying to figure out where the line is- between holding it together... and losing yourself completely.

Through shared days and long nights, until being together felt less like a choice and more like a constant. Jack stayed through the pressure and change. Amelia stayed with the same steady devotion, loving him with patience rather than spectacle. They chose each other quietly and without ceremony, endured separation and return, and learned one another again when life reshaped them. What binds them is not a single moment, but a lasting, deliberate love. She loves him without hesitation, without condition. Kaylie Kennedy is twelve years old, and possibly the least fortunate girl she knows. With her whole family lost to a car accident, she lives with her well-meaning (if insufferable) aunt and uncle, and spends every day in a grief-stricken haze, barely even sure what she's still living for. The only person that she really likes anymore is Dr Abbot, the man who treated her the night her family died, but she's sure she's insignificant to him. Besides, seeing him means going back to the hospital. The place where everything fell apart. The place Kaylie hates the most. But, when she breaks her arm one morning, her worst fear suddenly becomes unavoidable, and she's suddenly being forced back inside her own personal nightmare. Memories of her family lie behind every curtain, and her grief is threatening to swallow her whole. Maybe if she just holds out, she tells herself, it'll pass. Maybe if she just holds out, something good will finally come.
