After the death of his stepfather, Ciel's stepmother, Angela, remarries to a mysterious Duke called Sebastian Michaelis. His new stepfather is kind but rather distant and his new stepsisters, Elizabeth and Alois and Sieglinde, are mean. But the longer his new stepfamily is around him, the more he seems to loose himself.

AU: Ciel is a supernatural researcher. Well fed devils behave better than famished saints. Ciel has always believed in the paranormal, but when he turned eighteen he began to hunt it down. Yet to find any real evidence, he hears rumors of wendigo living in the forest and goes to investigate.

Since no tragedy occurred for the Phantomhive Family, life continued on as it was. As time went on, the twins, Ciel and Astre, continued to grow. The servant Astre received was a handsome man by the name of Sebastian Michaelis.
