Completed • First Draft - not edited. || "You gonna sit there all night?" Luka glances at me, smirking. I glare back. "I was enjoying the last few seconds of peace before having to spend an evening pretending to like you." "That's funny," he says, unbuckling his seatbelt. "Why?" I snap. "Because I was thinking the same thing." || The rules? Easy enough. 1. Pretend to be the perfect couple. 2. Keep it professional. 3. And whatever you do, don't. catch. feelings. Simple, right? Sofia Calloway never planned on going viral for throwing a drink in Luka Mikhaylov's face. But one video, one pissed-off hockey star, and one furious university later... she's suddenly stuck in a fake relationship with the guy she can't stand. He needs to clean up his image before the NHL draft. She needs the free tuition that comes with the deal. All they have to do is smile for the cameras, hold hands at the games, and act like they don't want to strangle each other. Then come the late-night arguments that last too long. The stolen glances that feel too dangerous. The moment where "pretend" starts looking way too real. Because when you break the rules, someone's bound to lose. And this time, it might be both of them.

tw's: verbal and emotional child abuse, body shaming, adhd rep After spending my first two years as the college fuck boy, I've decided that I'm done with that reputation for the rest of college. Especially when one of my past hookups starts lurking around and spreading rumours about me that could have me kicked off the team. So when my friend moves out of my apartment, I'm looking for a new roomie. And when my new roomie ends up being my shy, bookworm tutor who's looking to get her ex-boyfriend off her back, how can I resist not asking her to be my fake girlfriend until we're both out of hot water. But I have a hard time trying to remember that this is all fake.

In a town where the high school football team rules the school, Amelia is just another face in the crowd. Sure, her dad is the football coach but Amelia's idea of "Friday night lights" revolves around studying until lights are out. Trying to impress her father who only knows football and her mother's high expectations, Amelia puts her head down and tries her best to satisfy them. After accidentally ending up at a party one night (without her mother's permission of course), Amelia finds herself thrown into the world of the infuriatingly gorgeous yet arrogant Zack Darrington. Zack was never part of a crowd. He's king of the city: the best running back in the state- if not the entire country. Flirtatious, cocky, and a skilled player in all senses, Amelia is not the type of girl he typically surrounds himself with. Everyone knows Zack Darrington. No one knows Amelia Hayes. Football is his world while she wishes it wasn't a part of hers. At first glance, these two couldn't be more different but deep down, they may be more similar than they think. As sweet as sugar. An organized, picture-perfect daughter and student. You thought. So what? She can be a little clumsy, who isn't sometimes? She's a sarcastic, likable person who loves to speak her mind, except she doesn't. She a quiet one until you get to know her. She helps her mom with organizing and setting up games and school events for the school and she's basically just known as the principal's daughter. Alex Ryder. As hot as spice. He's the captain of the soccer, lacrosse and swim team. He's known for his hot looks and player ways. He's a dick. But he's hot so, you know, girls go crazy. Here and there. Quite literally when you look here and there you will see him with one girl. A new one every week, I'm telling ya. Very cocky and devilishly charming, I must say. The sharp jawline, pretty eyes, messy but hot hair kind of guy, you get the picture. Sugar and spice don't mix well, especially these two. They despise each other but often end up dealing with each other while organizing games and events. She's got a boyfriend and he shuffles girls every week. Everything's good until she gets cheated on. Spoiler alert, her boyfriend decides to cheat on her with Alex's temporary girlfriend. Once again, the two are put together, but this time it's planned. This time he's her 'boyfriend.' This time he's helping. This time sugar and spice are perfect together because, with the right amount of sugar and the right amount of spice, you get the perfect mix for a perfect recipe.
