As a witch, it was expected Susan would have hellfire - a vicious magic that's the bane of all immortals. However, hers is so wild she risks turning everything around her to ash. A Bright witch, they call her - hell incarnate. The only person keeping her in check is Lucius Vortigern - the vampire lord of Bath and a man with too much power for Susan's liking. In return for being the only thing preventing her going up in flames or being slain by her own kind, she acts as his sword to guard his city and the blood-bag to sate his addiction. As a result, Lucius and his own are hers to protect, be it from their own mistakes, Lucius' dangerously flaring tempers, the wolves that bay for Vortigern blood or the monster that sleeps in the depths of the house. This is a supernatural, erotic romance, and an experiment of classic vampire tropes. Book one of the Oldworld series. These books are stand alone and can be read in any order. Cover is my own art (updated 2024). Written between June 2020 - Dec 2022 Author's note - Please be mindful of what you're saying when commenting. I'm happy with helpful criticism, spelling/grammar pointers, questions or simple chatter. However, a tirade of needless, unhelpful complaints and just outright rude commentary is not welcome. My stories are terrible first drafts, they're going to be riddled with issues, so just politely highlight if you feel there's a problem. I'll listen and likely take on board the criticism. And if you're not enjoying it, that's fine, just move on and thank you for giving it a shot. This is a re-write of 'Lust for Her Master's Blood' and, while the gist of the plot is mostly the same, a lot of how it happens, the lore and the characters have been completely rebuilt from the ground up. The original can be found in the Old World Original Drafts for those who are curious or prefer it.

WATTY'S 2022 SHORTLIST🏅A Qing Dynasty Snow White fairytale retelling with a Princess Mononoke twist. Featured on @Wattpad's Fantasy Adventures reading list and @WattpadExplorer. ***** Snow is anything but the submissive princess the Jade Palace expects her to be. Her foster mothers find her impossible, her royal tutor labels her incorrigible, and she recently threatened to shave her head if she were forced to marry. When the Empress presents her with an opportunity to go on the imperial spring hunt with the princes and her not-so-secret crush, Prince Erden, Snow jumps at the chance. Who knew that that would lead to an assassination attempt, a harrowing escape, and her getting hopelessly lost in a dark forest during a thunderstorm--with no survival skills whatsoever. The only things she has to help her survive are lots of moxie and latent magical powers she inherited from her deceased mother. Oh, and an ethereally white fox that led seven old dwarves to her. With the Empress's malicious intent now revealed, Snow must discover her true strength, who her mother really is, and what magical powers she wields, in order to find her way back to Erden. If she fails, she might never see him again and die a lonely old crone in the mountains. . . or get murdered anyway when the bloodthirsty Empress--said to have fantastical powers of her own--comes for Snow. Sancha is no longer a Warbound soldier forced to serve The Warmaiden's Empire and their bloodthirsty deity, but the magic runes tattooed onto her arm will always remind her of who she once was. When evil forces commit an unholy murder, Sancha finds herself stuck at the heart of the investigation - headed by the god who once saved her. She must be willing to call upon the very magic she once cursed all while navigating her increasingly complicated feelings for the mysterious god of death-- made more difficult by Sancha's increasingly suspicious ties to the evil forces. Warbound is a queer fantasy adventure story starring friendship, magic, dead gods, and a dash of gay pining. Rated ~16+ for violence and horror! !! Beautiful Cover done by shinrili!!
