When Hiccup's final test in the Kill Ring does not go as planned, he runs away, sure that nothing he can ever say will change Berk's mind. At least he's not alone though, and with his cousins and several dragons by his side, they leave the archipelago. Of course, not all is smooth sailing and Hiccup's emergence as the Dragon Master earns him more than one enemy. Eventually, it also draws the attention of Berk, who are suffering from increased raids and struggling to survive. Desperate, they reach out to him for help, but will he deem them worthy and willing to change their ways? I don't own How to Train Your Dragon or its characters, just my OCs.

Mistreated and malnourished, little Hiccup doesn't understand why most everyone on Berk hates him. Gobber notices the abuse and steps in, but things quickly spiral out of control and the only way to keep Hiccup safe is to smuggle him off of Berk and into the hands of their allies. Hiccup is soon adopted into another tribe and grows up discovering what having a true family is like, but the past never stays in the past, as he soon discovers when Berk reaches out to the famed Dragon Master for help. Astrid later runs away to escape an arranged marriage to Snotlout, finding herself in a strange and wonderful world. She makes friends with a pair of wild twins, a dragon who disappears, a young man who likes to make outfits, an elusive white dragon, and a few other crazies. Together, they help her conquer an enemy that has plagued their homeland for centuries. A HTTYD/Alice in Wonderland AU For all intents and purposes, this series is complete. Forced to flee Berk in order to save her life and that of her unborn child, Valka is taken in by dragons, proving that what she had believed all along was true. The only problem is that she made a promise. A promise to return with her child, the true heir of Berk, when they became of age. And that time had come, much to everyone's dismay.
