So in my opinion Season 5 was horrible in handling queer representation (as someone who is part of the LGBTQ community herself), especially with queer baiting Byler, so I've combined both of my hyper fixations together, and made a fanfic where Will and Mike get the love story they deserve!

Alex finds himself desparate for acceptance, and ends up in a tumultuous friendship with none other than John Laurens, a gay boy rebelling against his homophobic parents. Will the Washingtons give up on Alex, or will Alex finally learn to trust again.
