For the last four weeks, the fate of the City rested in the hands of two seventeen year olds who have no idea they're best friends. Olivia Shadowheart and Jason Frostsong saved the City from being conquered by the Other, if only barely. As both their civilian selves and as Banshee and Cryophoenix, they pulled together and overcame Starsong's challenge, earning their amulets that will allow them to trust one soul with their true identity. If you ask them, they'd say they deserve a break. But with a complicated relationship developing between them, a new Luminary pair to train, and the old darkness locked away beneath the City beginning to pull free, their fight has only just begun. Only a set of ancient secrets and discovering the truth of what ended the first civilisation so many millennia ago will allow them to save both the city and the people they care about. They have one chance to learn the name of their partner. The question is: will they even want to? [Updates every Wednesday (Australian time)]

Almost a year ago, Olivia Shadowheart and Jason Frostsong had to figure out how to protect a city from its own possessed citizens without anyone knowing they'd had anything to do with it. They are Banshee and Cryophoenix--two of six Luminaries that save the Manifested from themselves when the Other takes their minds and turns them into twisted monsters bent on revenge. But like all Luminaries, Banshee and Cryo's true identities are a secret, even from each other. As the newest Luminary pair, not much is expected of them except to learn and train for their eventual responsibility in a few years but Banshee's got ambition. She's determined to be more than Olivia ever could, and with Cryo by her side, they find themselves in the middle of a battle they aren't ready for. Their lives, both civilian and Luminary, are about to collide. The question is whether they can learn to trust each other--both with and without the transformations--or if the Other's growing power will claim more than just their secrets. *+*+*+* [ Both books are in this work. As I write this letter to you, all I have to say is... I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I lied to all three of you. Living a life of lies has taught me that it comes with a price, and now I'm paying it. My name IS Rena Deveraux; that wasn't a lie. But I never wanted to be a Ranger... That's not why I was at the Ranger School. I am so, so sorry that I lied to you, but the truth is... I'm a thief. And you...you were my assignment, and I was to think of you as nothing more than that. It wasn't personal, I promise you. It was just business. I thought I could outrun the law my whole life and never get caught. Never did I once think that the law applied to me, or that my actions would catch up to me one day. It never crossed my mind...not even once. I was so confident, which made my downfall inevitable. I left my back turned for one second and I lost it all. No words can describe the feeling I get when I look at your face... That look of pain, and sadness... Your eyes are filled with nothing but hate and disdain when they meet my gaze. Honestly, I'm surprised that you haven't killed me for what I've done to you. I'm afraid this is the end, and I will never see you again. You can hate me for the rest of your life. I understand... What I did to you is unforgivable, and I don't deserve your forgiveness. I don't deserve to see your smile ever again. My biggest regret is that I will never get to properly say good-bye to you. So, I must do it in this letter. Good-bye, my Prince Charming. I will never forget you. Take care of Rhythimi and Isaac for me, and please...apologize to them on my behalf, since I can't do it myself. Oh, and one more thing, Keith. Assuming that you didn't just tear this letter up upon receiving it, I just wanted to say... I've told you a lot of lies since the moment we first met... But my feelings for you were never one of them. {Pokémon Ranger Shadows of Almia fanfiction; cover art was just photoshopped by me}

So I was going to do my usual 'I'll write the description later, blah blah blah' thing and be done, but then I realized that I can use this as an Author's Note. So I'm going to try once again to write a Pokémon fanfiction. Yes, I know that you're all either squealing in delight or rolling your eyes in disappointment. But I really do want to do this, despite how nervous I a about it. I have an alright plot worked out, with no extra details - Just the way I like it. I can't mold a story to move in a certain direction. I think that's why The Rise Of Suecra was a bust. There was too much thought worked into it. I couldn't keep up with my outlines. I'd add disclaimers, but apparently then my description would be too long .-. Anyways, if you read through this whole thing, kudos to you. Now read on! And don't yell at me when you finish the prologue...*hides anyways just in case*

What is it with all these problems? First gallons of chemicals get dumped on me, then I accidentally destroy an entire secret organization bent on taking over Pokémon, then I spark a rebellion against the human which I'm currently leading, and now humans may or may not have just started one of the biggest conflicts ever with us. I mean obviously all of this could've gone flawlessly, if it weren't for all these humans getting in the way and taking credit for everything we do. Obviously.
