"Someone's mother, someone's daughter. Holds your hands through plastic now, Doc I think she's crashing out. And some things you just can't speak about..." "Aviana Campbell, you've noticed her edge, I presume?" he waits for her to nod before continuing, "Capitol manufactured venom runs through her blood vessels from where a snake mutation bit her during her games." They watch as she throws cleaver after cleaver, each one with meticulous precision and brutal force. The projections pixelate almost rhythmically, one after another as she hits their abdomens and crania in turn. "Didn't she receive an antidote from a sponsor?" Katniss asks in confusion, she had watched snippets of the young girls games. Beetee hums, "Yes, the antidote prevented her from dying...the Capitol didn't bother to take away the side effects however. Hallucinations, voices in her head, anger. They've manipulated her perspective of reality to make her more entertaining...that girl has been groomed into the perfect Capitol weapon from the inside outwards." the hunger games fanfic

Mice were common creatures inside the homes of District Nine. A constant reminder of their failure during the rebellion. Originally released by their oppressors as a form of biological weapons, it wasn't uncommon to see their descendant's scurrying the dirt streets. When the Capitol learned of them being easily slayed during the war, they modified the failed jabberjays to attack anyone who harmed the disease carriers. A trait that the Mockingjay sadly kept. To this day the people of Nine can't go near a mouse without the birds attacking. As after all... what was a Mockingjay without a Mouse by their side? ༻❁༺ pre hunger games, to mockingjay part two

Thrust into the brutal spectacle of the 72nd Hunger Games, Lyra must rely on instincts honed from a life of silence, stealth, and survival. Paired with eighteen-year-old Tobin Slade, a boy driven by honor and heartbreak, the two must navigate deadly alliances, ruthless opponents, and the haunting weight of their pasts. As the Capitol watches with glittering eyes, Lyra becomes something unexpected-not just a tribute, but a symbol of quiet defiance and calculated fire.
