Dash cocked an eyebrow at her before snatching the keys away. "What?" She shrugged innocently, "I thought we were just stating the obvious."' - - - Or a human AU where AJ (AppleJack) works on her family's farm, and Dash (Rainbow Dash) runs track and field in college. AJ is struggling with love insecurtiy, but has yet to realize it. She is filling the void with various one night stands. Dash is very solitary with her feelings, but secretly yearns to be loved. Dash is busting tail to qualify for the Olympic trials in track and field, and AJ is her biggest supporter. The two are completely oblivious to the other's pining... until they're not. AJ soon finds herself falling head-over-heels for her best friend, but thinks the feelings are one sided. She's too oblivious to realize Dash's "fake" flirting is actually flirting.

After my mum died, nothing has been the same. Dad beats me all the time, and I'm always bullied at school. If only I had afriend to make me feel loved and safe. Hello! This is a story about Appledash. It's quite sad at the beginning, and it's the first time that I write a story like this. In the story, Applejack's mum has died and her dad is alive and beats her all the time. I have read stories that I have enjoyed a lot, but in all of them it was always Rainbow Dash that was abused, so I decided to change and make Applejack.
