Jedediah was acting strange. Octavius was determined to figure out why, but it was like his best friend (and possible crush) was avoiding him. Jed wouldn't even look at him anymore. It was extremely concerning.

Octavius moved around a lot, so he had decided not to get attached to anyone. Sure, he could make a friend or two, but he knew from experience that those friendships would not last. And he was fine with that. He didn't need friends anyway. Jedediah was popular, people loved him. Girls were all over him, despite that he had an amazing boyfriend whom he loved very much. Yet, when Jedediah sees the new kid for the first time, he's immediately drawn in. He wanted to know this mysterious person, even if it kills him.

Human AU! Octavius and Jedediah were the best of friends and the power couple. Nothing could separate them, not even Jed's horrible ex-boyfriend. Well, almost nothing...

Takes place after NATM3, but Larry kept his job, the "night program" didn't return, and there are more homes and buildings in the western diorama. I do not own Night at the Museum, please don't sue me. Jan 2022 update: (I wrote this story when I was 15, I didn't know about abuse and just wrote this line to be funny. I have since grown up and learned about how certain things are toxic and how I unintentially added some toxic elements to this story. I have thought about editing this portion but decided to leave it as a reminder that I have come a long way as a writer.
