RANKED #1 in 1950s (7-12-18) RANKED #4 in history (6-1-18) RANKED #3 in history (7-12-18) RANKED #5 in interraciallove (2-24-26) After the Supreme Court ruled that schools were officially integrated in the Brown Vs Brown case, black and white kids were able to go to school together. There was plenty of hate from white people, as black kids started going to school. Black kids feared for their lives every time they stepped foot into the schools. Charleston was raised to see black people as inferior to him, which is why he was confused when he started to fall for Gladys. Gladys was the black girl in his gym class who caught his eye. With the Civil Rights Movement going on and racism from left to right, the two teenagers had to fight for their love. They were not accepted in society, but that didn't stop them from being together. REVIEWS: "It's only the first chapter, and I love it." ~ alrightdean "I just LOVE how you incorporate the slang. It makes it feel like this is an actual story that was written in the 50s." ~ SheIsTheKnight "Probably one of the best books I've ever read. Keep up the good work." ~ GimmeTheWifiSis "Love this book already." ~ OSM1616 sincerelyjayy 2017 | all rights reserved ©

Salt & Honey is a collection of poems about the beauty and ache of being human. Through themes of love, loss, healing, and hope, each piece blends the sting of salt with the sweetness of honey, capturing life's bittersweet moments and the strength found within them. Inspired by my great-grandma, a woman who always saw the positive side of everything, strong as a rock, ready to forgive, always giving. Thank you for everything! We'll meet in between words and say bye with the sunset.
