Vanya is Balin's long lost adoptive daughter. Vanya is not a dwarf, but an elf. She was a child when Balin found her. She has lived with Balin and Dwalin for most of her child hood, but was separated from her father when Smaug attacked Erebor. She was looking for her father, until she came across Rivendell. Lord Elrond took her in and took care of her. After a few years Vanya was now the head guard of Rivendell. One day Thorin, Vanyas father and his company came by and found Vanya. Did you ever wonder what happened before the hobbit? What about why Elves despised the dwarves so much? Well now you can find out. 13 dwarves trudged blindly into the forest making there way to Bree, to the inn of the prancing pony which was to be the meeting place for gandalf. It was getting late when they were ambushed by orcs. They were seriously outnumbered and were getting ready to battle when hooded figure jumped out and killed all the orcs with ease. After being knocked unconscious ( by Fili and Kili) they removed the cloak to find someone unexpected, a dwarf girl no older than kili. What is so important about her that makes Gandalf so worried? And why is middle earth in so much danger?

Tygr ((same pronunciation as Tiger)) is a skin-changer, though she is a rare breed of them. Not only is she very small, about the size of a hobbit. She has the ears and tail of a wolf showing and she can chance into different sizes of a wolf ((as is she could be a cute baby wolf or a large terrifying adult.)) Tygr is a good friend of Gandalf the grey, he comes to her asking to share in an adventure. Of course she agrees and goes to meet her fellow companions. Though when she meets a certain dwarf...she had an odd feeling in her chest.

What happens when Balin's daughter comes looking for him. Erudite wasn't always a family person but what happens when one person changes all of that. What happens when they have issues for each other. Will they make it?
