Newt was never immune. We all know that. But what if he survived the Flare through a different way? What if he didn't die from the stab? What if the Safe Haven wasn't as good as the immunes thought it would be? And what if Thomas wanted to leave because of the bad situation and got let down by a person he thought he could trust? How will these two meet again and how will they escape the madness? This takes place after the events of the Death Cure. P.S. I'm really excited to write this story! Peace is a funny thing. It is said that no man can ever truly find peace until death is upon him. Seeing as (Y/n) wasn't a man she really didn't have an excuse to not go out and find it. But what if the answer had been running by her side all along? Can the secrets behind the maze be uncovered or will a certain runners past doom them all? Newt loves me. I love Newt. Mark loves me. I don't love Mark. I belong to Mark but I don't want to. Newt belongs to me and I wanna belong to him. Selenia is trying to decide between following her head and heart. Being with Mark will start the rebellion and end the awful war and the horrible glades and mazes. But being with Mark will brake her heart and Newt's - the boy she is madly in love with. And on the top of that she has to face her past. Past that will probably end her. I mean, being tortured isn't very nice, is it?

[EDIT 1] My work is currently undergoing some revisions. I wrote this 5 years ago, and needless to say, some of the dialogue, scenes, wording, and overall feel is quite childish. Not all of it, but some of it. I've decided to revisit my original first story and make it better. The story is definitely much more mature now, and I think everyone will enjoy it better now that the tone has changed to fit the melancholy nature of my story. Thanks in advance. Thomas gets a chance at redemption when he is offered a seemingly impossible task: plant an idea in someone's mind. If he succeeds, Thomas and his fellow gladers will have succeeded in bringing back a long lost friend. But a dangerous enemy anticipates his every move.

Eight months after The Last City fight, the gladers find their home in the safe haven, safe from WCKD. Everyone had found their mental peace, everyone except Thomas who can't live with the same happiness. What happens when an expedition goes wrong?
