Over the course of a century, Lady Celebríel of Rivendell has wandered Middle Earth; seeking the rangers of the far north, visiting her kin in Lothlórien, journeying to the distant, western seashore. And not once, in a hundred years, has she ventured into the vast dark of Mirkwood forest. So when Gandalf the Grey, most mischievous of the five wizards, invites her to a gathering in the Shire with the promise of excitement, she simply cannot refuse. Along with thirteen dwarves and a rather reluctant halfling, Celebríel embarks on Thorin Oakenshield's quest to reclaim the lost city of Erebor. Through many twists and turns, the company's wanderings finally deposits her back onto the doorstep of the very place she had been avoiding for years. She finds herself once more in the heart of the Woodland realm and confronted by the prince she has spent a century trying to forget. Faced with old emotions rising once more to the surface, Celebríel is forced to make a choice. Does she follow the company of dwarves beyond Mirkwood, ignoring the door that fate has led her to reopen? Or does she listen to her heart this time and pursue the prince that slipped through her fingers all those years ago? ~~~ Book 2 of the "Daughter of Lórien" Trilogy [LotR Fanfiction] This story occurs during the events of The Hobbit. *I own nothing except my original characters. Celebríel is the first-born daughter of Lord Elrond and Lady Celebrían, though her parentage is not easily recognized. Unlike her other siblings, she does not carry the features of her father. Rather, she bears a striking resemblance to her grandmother, the Lady Galadriel, with deep golden hair and a tall, slender figure; though her silver-ringed evergreen eyes belong to her alone. On her first visit to Mirkwood with her brothers Elladan and Elrohir, she is both enraptured and mystified by the strangely different Woodland Realm, particularly with a certain ill-tempered prince. Her distaste for him proves to be mutual, but something else simmers beneath the surface. Days turn into weeks, and Celebríel and Legolas must work together as challenges arise from both Mirkwood and Rivendell. But as she and the prince grow closer, Celebríel begins to question whether it is truly fate that ties the thread between them. For the Woodland Realm is enmeshed in secrets, and all may not be what it seems when they begin to unravel... ~~~ Book 1 of the "Daughter of Lórien" Trilogy [LotR Fanfiction] This story occurs before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. *I own nothing except my original characters. *Complete* A Lord of the Rings FanFiction A Daughters of Middle Earth Story Formerly Titled "Some Things are Meant to Endure" The only daughter of a King who had lost his Queen and the beloved younger sister of a Prince, Aeslin had grown up in the heart of the Woodland Realm. But given her mother's death in battle when she was but a young elfling, very little was more important to King Thranduil and his son Legolas than her safety. Not only had she never set foot beyond the borders of the Greenwood, she'd rarely left the confines of her Father's Court. For all that she was the most precious thing in the lives of her only family, Aeslin grew up the sad child of a dark forest. But with the Greenwood growing ever darker, Thranduil found himself with a hard choice before him. Fearing for the safety of his youngest child should she stay within the borders of a Kingdom coming to be known as 'Mirkwood', the Elven King made a decision that would change his daughter's life forever. Aeslin had always had a talent for healing, so he decided to send her to Rivendell to learn from Elrond as every great elven healer had done for centuries. There she learns not only the arts of healing, but finds another family, and indeed, eventually finds love. Follows Aeslin from before LotR through to the end of the films.
