A'ishah stood out in the vibrant city of Manila, not just because she was new, but because her calm demeanor suggests that her poise and serenity are so exceptional that they seem almost too perfect for this world, giving her an almost magical, out of this world beauty. Fresh from London, she moved to the Philippines to take care of her mother, a woman broken by her own husband and now clinging to A'ishah for emotional support. Despite her mother's demands and the weight of these expectations, A'ishah remained a picture of grace and composure. But underneath her serene exterior, A'ishah was struggling. She felt trapped in a cycle of trying to be perfect for her mother, while longing for the freedom to live her own life. It was a tough balancing act, made harder by her mother's relentless need for control. Despite feeling drained, A'ishah held on, buoyed by the love of her supportive best friend who always got her back, Nicole. Nicole is A'ishah's childhood best friend, who was more like a sister and a role model for her. Nicole introduced A'ishah to her circle of friends, and that's when things began to change. These new friends brought warmth and laughter into A'ishah's life, especially Maxine, who was her complete opposite: lovely, chatty, and full of care. Maxine was like a burst of sunshine in A'ishah's previously gloomy world. With each day, A'ishah found herself looking forward to spending time with her new friends. They were helping her rediscover joy and giving her a glimpse of a happier, more fulfilling life. For the first time in a while, she felt like she was on the path to not just surviving but truly living. But everything has an end. An end for all the pain she's going through. But also an end for everything she started to love too. But how can she be selfish? Should she choose the chance to fix their family and leave the life she grew to love with Maxine, or... Just stay. Stay and... work things out.
