Garu, on the other hand, is now a 16 year old boy who continues to protect the Sooga Village from his nemesis, Tobe and his gang of ninjas, and the Vagabond Ninja Clan. But, does he save everyone though? One night, Tobe and his ninjas strike again and had kidnapped poor little Pucca down to their base. After hearing the horrid news, Garu and the others were set up to find and rescue her from the hands of the evil ninjas. Luckily, she was saved by them. Afterwards, Garu started to feel this need of protecting Pucca at all cost. He didn't want her to get hurt again. How dare he, leave me standing here on the docks, the sensation of his gentle kiss still lingering on my lips as I watch his boat disappear in the distance. I refused to believe it. But after years, something changes. Pucca, more mature, decided to act more intelligently and, with more willingness than ever to kiss her beloved Garu, will double her efforts to get the ninja's love and affection. The problem is that Garu and Pucca's enemies won't let this happen, but the girl is imposing, and will be tougher than ice. "You can call me a thorn in your side!"

After a horrible trick, Pucca unleashes her anger on Garu and says that she hates him. With great shame after not knowing what he's done, Garu leaves Sooga village and vows to never return. When he leaves, he runs into a reminder of his past life before Sooga. After things become clear, Pucca, Ching, Ring Ring, Ayo, Abyo, and even Tobe leave searching for Garu. Will they convince him to return or will it all be in vain? This is a Pucca AU, but I'm trying to keep it as real as the series, by adding a few twists of my own. Also, I'm tired of most fanfics of the show making Garu the bad guy. The poor guy just wants peace most of the time, and Pucca has little to no boundaries. If some of you were in Garu's place, you'd also be trying to get away. And let's be honest, if the genders of the show were switched, would people STILL support Pucca and her overly aggressive affection? If you don't like it, then don't read it. Thank you. Almost 3 years later. Everyone has grown up almost past Garu's level of maturity and it seems to have gotten to him. Garu thinks he's stuck in a rut. Can his friends help Garu out or is Garu only going to help himself dig himself into a deeper hole
