However, in this book, there is another candidate for the Iron Throne. In this story, Daemon and Rhae Royce have a son named Rhaenor. He was different than most people, he was a prodigy at swordsmanship, smart in politics, and well-liked by all. However, despite everything; the relationship with his parents was tense as both Daemon and Rhae would try and mold him into their image. But he refused to follow their way and decided to become his own person. While he did love his parents the relationship he had with them began to strain when he was ten.
