Jim really didn't want Toby or anyone to find out about the future, it wouldn't happen so they don't need to carry that burden besides him. Not that they would remember. Right? Wrong. Things certainly didn't improve when Jim realizes he is slowly turning back into a troll! What will his friends do when they remember the future? What will they do when they realize he's becoming a troll? What will Jim do? Will he become? After Clementine and AJ are exiled from the school, they make their way to New Richmond and the New Frontier. After reuniting with some old friends and a couple of accidents, the pair forge a new life in the community. Ten years later, they experience a tragedy and an unexpected reunion.

Clementine and Sarah are trying their hardest to not only survive, but to raise AJ as well. When old faces show themselves as enemies, however; the two must find a way to keep their new friends, along with AJ, safe.

However, they were separated trying to leave Savannah and haven't see each other since. 10 years later, Clementine has traveled with many groups, trying to find any sign Lee and if he's still alive. But, something strange lurks in the distance and it isn't like anything she's seen before. Note: Lee getting bit and shot in the game does not occur in this book. But, Clementine does meet everyone that she does in the game and things like that will remain the same. The only thing that has changed is Lee's death. This book is entirely through Clementine's POV. ALSO, season 3 never happened and Clementine never met Javi or his family.
