But this time, things are a little different. For one thing, there is now the threat of a wizarding mass murderer looming, and no one seems to believe that he's actually back. Even more, the Ministry of Magic is making out Annabeth to be some sort of mastermind who convinced Harry Potter and Dumbledore to lie about Voldemort's return. For another, the Ministry of Magic has placed one of their own inside Hogwarts as a teacher--- someone fully dedicated to the Ministry and hates half-breeds like Annabeth. Annabeth is supposed to be protecting Harry from Voldemort and other threats, but how can she do that when there's a shrunken pink toad watching her every move?

Annabeth was expecting a normal end to summer. She was expecting to end the day with Percy and wait for her father to pick her up. What she got instead was a quest shoved in her face.
