{UNDERGOING EDITING} It's the year 1942. News of the Second World War can be found in every newspaper. After you find yourself in a bad relationship and manage to get out of it, your father, a veteran of The Great War who suffers from shell shock, is chosen by the draft. With some help, you find yourself in the US Army to take your father's place on the battlefield, wanting to prove your strength and hoping to help put an end to the war. You're assigned to the 1st Infantry Division, 16th Regiment Infantry. You expect to not be accepted, but you eventually grow a close bond with your squad as you all make your way through Europe. You think of the Army as a place where you shouldn't fall in love, but there's one soldier in your squad who changes that. His name is Robert Zussman. *I do not own anything affiliated with CoD: WWII that I used in this story*

"Time changes so much, huh? Only 80 years and we have Guided Bombs, Super Sonic travel, and we have reached to the stars." -Winston Churchill, c. January 1942 Formerly known as War is Hell. During New Year's eve in 2023, The US is transported back to December 6th 1941, This is what followed.. Inspired by United we stand, Divided we fall by USMCgamer101, This mostly takes a more 'realistic' approach to it, and a larger focus on the politics and fighting, and spying. There is no set main character for this book. I'm a military nerd, not a politician, if I get something with with how they handle politics and diplomacy please tell me in a constructive way! As with any WW2 book, There may be sensitive topics. I do not encourage Nazism or fascism. Viewer discretion is advised, Gore may be described during large battles.

January 25th, 2637. Eighty-five years ago, the United Nations Space Command brought a galactic war to an end. What began on February 3rd, 2525, with first contact and open hostilities on the agricultural world of Harvest, concluded on December 11th, 2552, with the final collapse of the Covenant's leadership. The war ended when humanity and the Sangheili set aside their differences during the closing months of 2552 to confront a common enemy and bring the genocidal Covenant to its end. In the decades that followed, the UNSC and the Unified Earth Government emerged stronger than at any other point in human history. Worlds once reduced to glass by Covenant bombardment were painstakingly terraformed and restored, their atmospheres stabilized and their ecosystems rebuilt. By the mid-26th century, every glassed human colony had been reclaimed. Humanity now governs more than nine hundred planets, supported by a reformed political system that replaced the prewar plutocratic order with a true, centralized civilian government. The result has been a civilization more stable, more secure, and more prosperous than any humanity has known before. Now, eighty-five years after the end of the Human-Covenant War, humanity and its allies stand at the edge of a new era. Long-range exploration efforts have confirmed the existence of a neighboring galaxy, known to its own inhabitants as the Corusca Galaxy, marking the first verified extragalactic contact in human history and opening the door to discoveries-and dangers-on a scale never before encountered.
