January 25th, 2637. Eighty-five years ago, the United Nations Space Command brought a galactic war to an end. What began on February 3rd, 2525, with first contact and open hostilities on the agricultural world of Harvest, concluded on December 11th, 2552, with the final collapse of the Covenant's leadership. The war ended when humanity and the Sangheili set aside their differences during the closing months of 2552 to confront a common enemy and bring the genocidal Covenant to its end. In the decades that followed, the UNSC and the Unified Earth Government emerged stronger than at any other point in human history. Worlds once reduced to glass by Covenant bombardment were painstakingly terraformed and restored, their atmospheres stabilized and their ecosystems rebuilt. By the mid-26th century, every glassed human colony had been reclaimed. Humanity now governs more than nine hundred planets, supported by a reformed political system that replaced the prewar plutocratic order with a true, centralized civilian government. The result has been a civilization more stable, more secure, and more prosperous than any humanity has known before. Now, eighty-five years after the end of the Human-Covenant War, humanity and its allies stand at the edge of a new era. Long-range exploration efforts have confirmed the existence of a neighboring galaxy, known to its own inhabitants as the Corusca Galaxy, marking the first verified extragalactic contact in human history and opening the door to discoveries-and dangers-on a scale never before encountered.

Under the lead of the United States of America and the UN, humanity united and formed The United Nations Space Military Command, and the United Nations Space Exploration Command. The UNSMC and the UNSEC have now colonized multiple planets all across the galaxy as humanity progressed. Life was perfect. Wars were stopped, equality thrived, and democracy reigned supreme. Everything was normal...until a distress call from an unknown ship started approaching the home planet of the UNSMC and UNSEC...Earth. The Zander Class Destroyer known as the USS Enterprise was on a routine op at Base Alpha on Pluto. U.S. Marines were in a joint training op with Russian Republic Marines, United Korean Republic Marines, and British Royal Marines. That was until a ship came out of lightspeed out of nowhere. Military personal were now on alert as the USS Enterprise was dispatched to make contact with the unknown ship. The Republic ship was heavily damaged after a battle with the CIS. The last chain of command on the ship was a lone Padawan and a Clone Captain. With no hope left, they had to escape to an unknown system. Avaline Baker is a young woman on a camping trip with friends when she decides to go into a museum that will change her life forever. Somehow transported into the future, Ava finds herself at the barrel tip of Nazi German soldier. Transported to their camp as prisoner, Ava is lost and confused as to what, where, and who she is with...the how part is the most antagonizing. Shortly after being saved by two American men, Ava discovers she's been placed at the center of World War Two. Surrounded by warfare and American men who have strict mindsets about women in the the 1940's, the 21-year-old feels like she has no hope of surviving. To even have a chance, Ava has to prove that just because she's a woman, doesn't mean she isn't capable of fighting to survive like the rest of them. Ava finds herself stuck in 1944, with "strange" technology called a cell phone, no way of charging it, and no way of getting home. In the midst of a gruesome and horrifying war, she finds herself questioning more than just sanity of the time period, but even her own. Hopefully, with careful and calculating steps, Ava will survive the blistering cold winters, the first-hand experience of a war, and developing a difficult bond with the men of 1st Platoon. --•--•--•-- This is a work of fan-fiction, which means I don't own practically anything.
